french toast with avocado dip

Do you need something for a delicious weekend breakfast again? My suggestion would be French toast with avocado dip.
Oh dear avocado dip … It belongs absolutely to my favorite foods. Actually you could also say guacamole, but for this I differ probably to much from the original recipes. I don’t use chili and tomato, but delicious garlic instead. A pleasure, because you can really taste the avocado.
The French toast is rather classic, I fill it with cheddar and nicely thin sliced ham. My only variance is the bread. I don’t use toast, I use a delicious rye bread. With this bread the dish gets a lot more healthy. 😉

French-Toast-Avocado-Recipe

Separate the pulp from the avocado and put it in a bowl. Drizzel the juice of one lime over the avocado, add the chopped garlic and mash all with a spoon. Season it with salt and pepper and put it by. For the french toast whisk the egg with the milk and season it with salt and pepper. Flip the bread slices in it and let it drain. Fill the bread with ham and cheddar and fry it golden brown in the pan, with the butter. Garnish a plate with rocket and place the diagonally cutted french toasts on top. Now just add the dip and a delicious breakfast is prepared.

If french toast is not your case, you should at least try my dip. This dip also fits perfect with nachos. 😉

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 slices cheddar
  • 2-4 slices ham
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 lime
  • 1-2 garlic cloves
  • a hand full rocket
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Seperate the pulp from the avocado and put it in a bowl.

  4. For the french toast whisk the egg with the milk and season it with salt and pepper.
